The Secretary to the Ministry of Education, Nalaka Kaluwewa, has announced that a decision has been made to close all schools across the island tomorrow, Tuesday, October 27, 2026, due to the prevailing adverse weather conditions.
However, the Ministry further states that despite the closure of schools, the practical examinations for aesthetic subjects under the G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) Examination will proceed according to the previously scheduled timetable.
