A new judge has been appointed to the Court of Appeal.

Ms. Sajeewani Dilka Lakmali Karunanayake was sworn in as a Court of Appeal judge before President Anura Dissanayake yesterday afternoon. Secretary to the President Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake also attended the event.

It is said that she had previously served as an Additional Solicitor General at the Attorney General's Department. She has been appointed to fill a vacant position in the Court of Appeal.
